Our programs span a wide range of initiatives focused on environmental conservation, youth empowerment, hunger relief, health support, and disaster response. Environmental Initiatives
The Woodlands Lions Club is dedicated to protecting our planet through community-driven conservation efforts, recycling programs, and sustainable practices. Our environmental initiatives aim to make a tangible impact locally while promoting global awareness.
Texas Lions Camp Workdays:
Through cleanup and conservation projects at Texas Lions Camp, we help preserve Texas's natural beauty.
3R Bazaar & Wildflower Festival:
Our events promote recycling and conservation. At the Wildflower Festival, we distribute wildflower seeds and reusable totes to encourage sustainability.
Adopt a Path:
We take pride in regularly maintaining local trails, ensuring they remain clean, safe, and beautiful for the entire community to enjoy. Get involved.
Eyeglasses Recycling Program:
By recycling eyeglasses, we reduce landfill waste and provide vision support to people in need worldwide. Find a donation location.
Hunger Initiatives
The Woodlands Lions Club is committed to addressing hunger in our community by supporting local food banks and ensuring nutritious meals for those in need.
Food Sorting at Pantries:
Our members volunteer to organize and distribute food to ensure it reaches those who need it most.
Summer Camp Meals:
We provide meals for campers and staff at Texas Lions Camp, supporting a healthy and enjoyable experience.
Food Donations:
We contribute regularly to the Montgomery County and Interfaith Food Pantries to help feed local families.
Youth Programs
Empowering the next generation is at the heart of The Woodlands Lions Club’s mission. Through scholarships, leadership programs, and youth-focused initiatives, we strive to inspire young people to reach their full potential and contribute positively to their communities.
Scholarships for Graduating Seniors:
Annual scholarships for local high school seniors who demonstrate community service and academic excellence.
Texas Lions Camp Sponsorship:
We sponsor children with physical challenges to attend Texas Lions Camp, fostering resilience and self-confidence. We also provide stipends to camp counselors.
Leo Club Program:
Our Leo Club at College Park High School engages students in community service and leadership development. Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday with Faculty Advisor Andrew Kabli in Room 3109.
Youth Opportunities:
We offer summer job opportunities at Texas Lions Camp for youth 18+, along with free children’s activities at our Wildflower Festival.
Childhood Cancer Support
We provide comfort and resources to children facing cancer and their families, helping them experience joy and relief during challenging times.
Meal Support with Keyes Ingredients:
In partnership with Keyes Ingredients, we deliver healthy meals to families dealing with cancer, offering nourishment and comfort.
Support for Sunshine Kids:
Through donations, we contribute to programs that uplift and support families with children undergoing cancer treatments.
Texas Lions Camp for Kids with Cancer:
We sponsor children affected by cancer to attend camp, offering a supportive environment filled with fun and friendship.
Diabetes Awareness & Support
We empower children with Type 1 Diabetes to manage their condition through educational programs, camps, and community support.
Diabetes Awareness Initiatives:
We host events and provide resources to educate our community about diabetes and promote healthy lifestyles.
Texas Lions Camp for Kids with Diabetes:
We sponsor children with Type 1 Diabetes to attend camp, where they gain practical skills for managing their condition in a fun, encouraging environment.
Vision Care & Awareness
We enhance vision health in our community through screenings, eyeglass donations, and partnerships that provide essential eye care.
Gift of Sight Program:
Supporting school children in The Woodlands with eyeglasses and eye exams through referrals from school nurses.
Eyeglasses Recycling:
Collecting used eyeglasses to reduce waste and provide vision support for those in need, both locally and globally. Click here to view donation locations.
Vision Screenings:
Offering free vision screenings at community events and annually at The Woodlands Children’s Museum to help identify vision needs early.
Help Us Make A Difference
Purchase quality products through Terri Lynn, and a portion of each sale will benefit The Woodlands Lions Club service projects.
Disaster Relief & Emergency Support
The Woodlands Lions Club is dedicated to providing immediate aid and support to communities affected by disasters, both locally and globally.
Local Disaster Response:
Offering assistance to our community by providing food, shelter, and recovery support during local emergencies and times of need. Donate to Disaster Relief.
LCIF Disaster Relief Fund:
Contributing to the Lions Clubs International Foundation’s relief fund, which provides critical aid during natural disasters and crises around the world.
Humanitarian Causes
We build stronger communities through charitable projects, local initiatives, and support for individuals facing challenges.
Support for Local Charities:
Donating to organisations such as the Montgomery County Animal Shelter, YES to Youth, and Family Promise. Our contributions support families, homeless youth and individuals in crisis.
Adopt-a-Child Christmas Program:
Partnering with Interfaith to provide Christmas gifts to children in need. Join us in supporting humanitarian causes by volunteering at community events or making a donation.
Wildflower Festival and July 4th Parade:
Providing community fellowship and engagement opportunities through these annual events.
